Jason Clarke, Jake Gyllenhaal and Josh Brolin climb to dangerous heights
The first official trailer has been released for Baltasar Kormákur’s Everest.
The film features a star studded cast made up of Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes, Robin Wright, Emily Watson, Sam Worthington, Michael Kelly, Keira Knightley and Jake Gyllenhaal. The film was shot partly on location on the foothills of Everest in Nepal and the Italian Alps.
The film is inspired by the incredible true events surrounding the journeys of two expeditions as they attempted to reach the world’s highest mountain, Everest. Challenged beyond all limits, the climbers is tested to the max by one of the most dangerous snowstorms ever encountered and all must fight to survive in the biggest struggle they will ever face.
Everest is directed by Icelandic filmmaker Baltasar Kormákur, who is best known for directing the action films Contraband (2012) and 2 Guns (2013), with a screenplay from William Nichoson (Gladiator, 2000) and Academy Award winner Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire, 2o08).
The film was shot partly on location on the foothills of Everest in Nepal and the Italian Alps.
